My Awesome Team!

The Big 3 Day Walk!

Wow! What an amazing experience to be a part of such an incredible event! Every minute from Friday to 4:30 a.m. to Sunday at 11:00 p.m. was awesome! On Friday we started at National's Statium and walked for 20 miles! On Saturday we started at camp in Bethesda, Maryland and walked for 24 miles and on Sunday completed 16 miles in Washington, D.C. The closing ceremony was held on the mall in front of The Lincoln Memorial. On Saturday I had a special surprise when my parents and my girls showed up at the cheer station! It was a natural high all weekend! Thank you so much to all of my family and friends for you support finacially and emotionally for me to be a part of this life changing experience. With all of you help I raised over $3,000 and my team raised over $17,000 to help create a world without breast cancer...because everyone deserves a lifetime!

C-H-E-E-R Here We Go Mutiny!

The girls are cheering again this year but have changed teams! They are now cheering for Mutiny which is made up of older boys and we have won every game so far this season! The girls have practice two days a week and then one game on Saturday! They are looking forward to cheering at our high school football game coming up soon withe the high school cheerleaders.

The First Day of School!

Back to School!

As September rolled around again, the Holland girls got all their school supplies, lunch boxes and bookbags ready and of course our new school clothes. Hailey is heading to 4th grade, Hannah is in 1st and Hope is rolling back to Mrs. Tricia's. Tracy is going into her 16th year of teaching first grade! We hope this year will be filled with excitement, fun, lot of laughs and plenty of learning!

End of School!

Schools out for the Summer! Schools out for the Summer! We are so excited to be on summer vacations! What should we do first? The girls ended up their school year with a kindergarten program and a third grade award ceremony! Hailey and Hannah had a great school year and I am so proud of them for their hard work! It is amazing how fast the school year flew and now as I sit back and think about the year, since I have some time, I can't believe that Hailey is going to be in the fourth grade and Hannah is a first grader! Wow! I had to move my classroom at the end of this year to a new room. I am a bit nervous because I have taught with my neighbor/buddy teacher for the past five years and have worked with her for the past fifteen years. I just keep telling myself change is good and there is a reason for my move. You think I would live this motto with what I have been through! :)

Kings Dominion with Scooby Doo!

Ready for Summer!

The countdown has begun as we get ready for summer vacation! We have switched out our closests, hit the pool and made our first trip to Kings Domion for the season! We are looking forward to a busy summer visiting family, friends and relaxing at the beach! Hailey did a great job taking her SOL tests and Tracy finished taking her National Board Certification Test! We are anxious to find out how both of us did! Tracy has been busy with training for her 3 Day walk for Breast Cancer in October! The girls are great to walk with her or hang out with friends for a while so she can get her training in during each week! This summer we plan on heading to Chicago to see our new nephew and cousin, Nathan, and visit Uncle D, Aunt Amanda, Ella and Graysen. We are also heading to Michigan for a big Klein/Alt wedding in August. We will be making our annual beach week trip to Nags Head with Grandma and Grandpa and we also plan to enjoy Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Water Country and the pool! We would love to catch up and spend time with all our friends and family this summer. If you are around, give us a shout so we can try to catch up!

Yeah!! Spring is here! For spring break the girls and I headed to Williamsburg to visit Grandma and Grandpa! They had spent a few days with their dad and I was able to go to the beach with friends! I had a great time relaxing, chatting and enjoying my days! While in Williamsburg we went spring clothes shopping, played at the famous Kidsburg park, saw the Easter Bunny and of course went to Build-A-Bear! We just need one more stuffed animal in our house! As always at Grandma and Grandpa's we had a fantastic time and hated to leave to come back home. Monday morning was a rough day to get back into the swing of things at school. We are anxiously awaiting Hailey's big move into a new school at the end of April and the girls new cousin in May! But now that spring break is over, the countdown until summer vacation is underway! We can't wait for the pool, the beach and relaxing!

Where does the time go?

We have been so busy that the days just fly by for us! In March we enjoyed celebrating St. Patty's Day with friends. We joined Girl Scouts and got pinned for our new troop that Tracy is now the new leader! The girls also began swim lessons to get ready for the summer. We celebrated Hannah's 6th Birthday! We had a fabulous High School Musical sleepover party with nine girls! Tracy was honored by the local and district VFW for the Teacher of Citizenship award. She was nominated by a fellow teacher and won for Manasas Park and then was the runner-up for the Northern Virginia district. Tracy also finished her National Board Certification portfolio and mailed it out on March 30th! She will take her test in June and then have to wait until November to find out her status. We are all excited about spring break! We are ready to have fun and relax!

Fall Fun!

Happy New Year!

We all headed down to Williamsburg to celebrate the New Year with Grandma and Grandpa! We enjoyed a night out to see the movie "The Tale of Desperaux" and out to dinner. As the time got closer, we got on our gear, toasted and bagged our pots and pans! We wish everyone a very Happy New Year! May this be a wonderful year for everyone!

Celebrating Hope's 3rd Birthday!

On Monday, January 19th we had friends and family over for our Thomas & Friends birthday celebration! We played "Toss the Coal" into the train cars, "Pin the Number 1" on Thomas and "Hot Whistle". We ate PB&J train sandwiches, chips, and of course cake and ice cream! We had a great time with everyone! Hope loves all of her wonderful presents and is still singing Happy Birthday to Hope!
